  1. Theme Requirements 
  2.                  To install desktop themes, you'll need these 3 things to use the themes: Windows 95, WinZip
  3.                  6.0 and up, and Microsoft Plus Pack (or an installation program Like the file's on the theme download page ).

  5.             Installation Steps 
  6.                  Create a directory on your harddrive to download the themes to (usually C:\Download) or
  7.                  download them to where you usually download files to. After you download the theme: 
  8.  
  9.                    1.Back up these 3 files (just copy them into a backup directory) 
  10.                
  11.               NOT ALL THEMES HAVE LOGOS THIS IS A GENERAL INSTALLATION TEXT THAT APPLIES TO ALL MY THEMES
  12.                              
  13.                            C:\logo.sys - Startup Logo
  14.                            C:\Windows\logow.sys - Shutdown Logo
  15.                            C:\Windows\logos.sys - Shutdown Complete Logo

  17.                    2.Load WinZip 6.0 or higher and Open the (theme).zip file. Click on Extract.

  19.                            In the 'Extract to' box put C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\
  20.                            Make sure 'All Files' is selected
  21.                            Make sure there is a check next to 'Use Folder Names' and
  22.                            'Overwrite Existing Files' 
  23.  
  24.                    3.Click on Extract. This will: 
  25.  
  26.                            Extract the files into C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\(themename)
  27.                            Extract the .Theme control file into C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes
  28.                            Extract the Startup logo file to C:\ (if it contains one)
  29.                            Extract the Shutdown and Turnoff files to C:\Windows (if it has them)

  31.                         This Part is for users of Microsoft Plus! Only
  32.                    4.Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Desktop Themes and choose
  33.                       the theme from the dropdown list.
